Who
Sextant is made and sold by EVERTON LOPES CARNEIRO CONSULTORIA EM TECNOLOGIA DA INFORMACAO LTDA, trading as Moby Soluções em Aplicativos Mobile (“Moby Solutions”), a company registered in Brazil under CNPJ 44.343.845/0001-55. Questions go to hello@trysextant.app.
The product
Sextant is a native macOS app for App Store keyword research. These terms cover the website, the app and the paid subscription. By buying or using Sextant you agree to them.
Subscription
Sextant is sold as a subscription for one Mac, billed monthly at US$9/month or yearly at US$89/year; promotional discounts may apply. A founder discount, when offered, takes 50% off the first year of the annual plan only (US$44.50 instead of US$89), and the plan then renews at the full annual price. There is no free trial. Payment runs through Stripe. A discount you subscribed with earlier keeps the terms it was offered on, for as long as that subscription stays active.
Automatic renewal
The subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period, every month or every year from the date you bought it, at your plan's price as shown on your receipt and in the customer portal, charged to the payment method on file, unless you cancel before the renewal date. You can cancel anytime in the Stripe customer portal, opened from the app, or by emailing us. After you cancel, you keep access until the end of the month or year you already paid for, and you are not charged again.
Refunds
A full refund is available within 14 days of purchase, no questions asked. To ask for one, email hello@trysextant.app with the email you bought with or your receipt. After 14 days, purchases are not refundable except where the law requires it. A refund ends access when Stripe processes it.
Your account
You sign in with a code sent to your email or with Google. Keep your login details private. One active subscription covers one Mac. Do not share the account or resell access. We may suspend an account that breaks these terms or abuses the service.
Acceptable use
Use Sextant for your own App Store work. Do not scrape, reverse-engineer or overload the service, or use it in a way that breaks Apple's rules or the law. Keyword judgments and popularity estimates are decision aids, not guarantees of ranking or revenue.
Availability
We aim to keep Sextant running, but we do not promise uninterrupted access. Features may change. If we shut the product down, we will give notice when we can and stop renewals.
Privacy
How we handle data is in the Privacy page.
Liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Sextant is provided as is, and Moby Solutions is not liable for lost profits, lost data or indirect damages from using the app or relying on its judgments. To the extent permitted by applicable law, our total liability for a claim is limited to the amount you paid us for Sextant in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits or excludes the rights that consumer law gives you and that cannot be waived, including under the Brazilian Consumer Defense Code and the consumer laws of the European Union.
Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top changes when we do. Before a material change takes effect, we announce it by email in advance. If you do not accept it, you may cancel your subscription and get a prorated refund for the unused part of the current period. Governing law is that of Brazil, where Moby Solutions operates, without limiting any consumer rights you have where you live.
