- It reads the App Store
- The apps Apple ranks next to yours, and what Apple's autocomplete suggests around your app's name, on the App Store of the country you pick. Every search comes from the store; none is made up.
- Jev keeps the ones that are yours
- Of each search it asks whether the people typing it want an app like yours, then looks at the apps Apple shows for it. Brands, off-topic searches, searches in another language than your listing and phrases nobody types are dropped.
- It measures each one
- Popularity: how often people search it. Difficulty: how hard the top 10 is to break into, against the apps already there. Your chance: how likely your app is to get there.
- Two lists
- 5 to go for, where people search and the top 10 is open. 5 to avoid for now, with the apps that hold them.
